Maintenance Programs
To achieve the longest lasting results for your projects protection, it is best to be applied every 2-3 years depending the desired look. We typically see an additional year of protection after the second application. So just have us back out just as the wood is starting to fade or you notice any visible signs or graying on the fence or other wood project. If you don't wait till the wood turns grey, you don't have to do a cleaning treatment each time, although a light wash might be required for surface dirt.
Wood Defender Fence and Deck Stains
It comes in Transparent and Semi-Transparent blends. It is an oil based stain that works great. It will come with a 2 or 3 year warranty depending which color and style you choose from. However, they are very particular on the warranty, it is for new wood only and has to be applied professionally with all records saved.
Ready Seal Fence and Deck Stains
It comes in a Semi-Transparent blend but is basically the same product as Wood Defender in our Professional opinion. It is an oil based stain that performs well. It will come with no warranty from the manufacturer however they state if applied correctly and under the right environment it should last 2-4 years before next application. That is their results but it performs the same as Wood Defender just no warranty. Very similar color options to Wood Defender which color and style you choose from, really determines what brand we will use.
Stain and Seal Experts Fence Stain and Sealer
This is a brand new comer to the market. It has some great
qualities, and has Low VOC ratings. It is also a stain that just depends on who is applying it. These are all great stains and you really can't go wrong with any of them.
Huemiller Wood Stain and Sealant
It comes in a Semi-Transparent blend but is basically the same product as Wood Defender in our Professional opinion. It is an oil based stain that works great. It will come with a 3 year warranty from the manufacturer however they state if applied correctly and under the right environment it should last 3-5 years before next application. Very similar color options to Wood Defender which color and style you choose from, really determines what brand we will use.
